Thomas Horrocks got me started on a bit of self examination. I did not give myself a passing grade.
Same here. For me personally, it’s much, much easier to love the vulnerable prey than to love the powerful predators. It’s hard to balance my righteous anger at their offenses and God’s command to love others.
But God loves us even when we’re not trying that hard to love him or others. I also think part of that love means he convicts me of my unloving thoughts or actions, which may not feel very good at the time but is still loving.
Me too, Laura. I feel that way a lot.
